what is going to happen if a deemed university is declared undeemed by the government?
Q. with the ongoings of january 2010 the govt. has declared 44 universities to be undeemed.one of them is jayppe noida.what is its fate now?is it to big a problem?can they get their status back.?also,is it wise to get admitted their for a ug course?what is a deemed university anyway?

A. Government should not declare a deemed university as undeemed because in such a case the people who had joined this deemed university shall suffer. A deemed university could be closed down befrore admission start and once there is admission, then government should not have power to declare the sme as undeemed.

A. There was a bill passed which means there is now the prohibition of unfair practices in technical, medical educational institutions & universities Bill is passed by Govt. It provided for 3 year imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh for higher education providers guilty of misleading students. Also, the government has approved the Foreign Educational Institution (Regulation of Entry & Operation) Bill 2010. It provides foreign universities to set up campuses in India.

do deemed universities also require AICTE approval for starting any course...?

A. yes any university or institute offering technical course need AICTE approval. As AICTE(All India Council of Technical Education)is the only body which look afters the technical education in India.
